HINANI – HERE I AM
Hinani (he nay nee) is a Hebrew word for – HERE I AM.
The state of being present. Not ahead or even behind, but right here, right now in the instant that is already gone. Fleeting moment — after fleeting moment. HINANI!!!
HINANI!!!
We cry out!!
HERE I AM!!
Here I am!!!
LORD here I am!!
HINANI – HINANI.
This day.
This moment,
This passing hour,
PRESENT.
Yes the future is looming and the present is already gone.
Yet the future is not here yet and today I am OK.
I have a bed, food, and a GOD to worship.
The ART OF BEING PRESENT.
I do not have this figured out by any means. I am a student of HINANI.
Maybe if I planned better, thought ahead more, was able to somehow raise more finances — my “hinani” would be more peaceful, more actual, more real.
Or maybe if I looked behind more. Looked back at my achievements and my failures. Reflected more, processed better, maybe paid a counselor to really work out my past issues…then maybe my “hinani” would be better.
Or maybe, just maybe that is the point. Maybe that is the goal; to simply STOP. To be still and BE PRESENT. Present in this current moment. This current instant. Not focused on the past or even the future, but the gift of today.
HERE I AM.
Here I am LORD.
Your servant.
Your son.
Listening.
Present.
HINANI!!
This is my cry.
This is my heart.
TO be no where else but here.
Present in this moment.
HINANI – HERE I AM.

this gave me a lot of peace. life’s not perfect. so much takes us out of the present. worries about future. regrets from the past. so much takes from TODAY. Thanks for the reminder.
