LIGHTS OUT 11:58pm September 8, 2011 The power goes out for a few hours and the city is all in a stir. Yet all are fairly comfortable with roofs over their heads and plenty of extra batteries for their flashlights. I sit here and think of the countless people in the world that aren’t so lucky. Sporadic power outages happen daily in some places like India, Pakistan & many other Asian countries, as well as countless countries in South American... I mean I could even be typing this on … [Read more...] about Camping with CHRIST

HINANI
HINANI - HERE I AM Hinani (he nay nee) is a Hebrew word for - HERE I AM. The state of being present. Not ahead or even behind, but right here, right now in the instant that is already gone. Fleeting moment -- after fleeting moment. HINANI!!! HINANI!!! We cry out!! HERE I AM!! Here I am!!! LORD here I am!! HINANI - HINANI. This day. This moment, This passing hour, PRESENT. Yes the future is looming and the present is already gone. Yet the future is not here yet and … [Read more...] about HINANI
how do you travel all over the place & not go broke?
I recently received this question from a friend of mine who lives in South America. She was wondering about all my recent stateside travel I have partaken in. Here is an expanded version of my response: Frequent Flier Miles: Honestly most of my recent travel has been on frequent flier miles. It is like God's gift to us all to freely partake in worldwide travel (Joseph Watson would love that line). It is not until recently that I have really figured out how this works a bit. When I 1st … [Read more...] about how do you travel all over the place & not go broke?
2010-a JANUARY look back at the year that is now good & gone
YES I am a procrastinator!!! But who said your year end recap needed to get out before the end of the year!? I was too busy celebrating with friends and family!! Anyway - ON WITH IT - here we GO!! I am one who travels and shares the love of Jesus with the world. I hope that I can simply love people and point them to Jesus along the journey. Whether it is in some foreign land like southern California or the far reaches of the earth where life is simply very "different" than the culture I … [Read more...] about 2010-a JANUARY look back at the year that is now good & gone
refreshed vision
Sometimes it is good to go to big gatherings. Yet sometimes people just live from one big event to the next. This is not my desire - thus I can sometime be leery of the next big conference. But the last ten days I spend on da Big Island of Hawaii, mostly in Kona was REFRESHING. I have been doing my normal floating relational ministry / random project thing the last few months since the DTS I led finished in Israel in late August. I did not realize how refreshing it would be to be … [Read more...] about refreshed vision
miles & miles in AMERICA…land of the brave & free
I am officially back in San Diego. Every time I return "home", I tend to give myself a little time before "announcing" it, if you will. Not that anyone really cares, but rather it is my attempt to "rest" when I get home. Give myself a little time. So today I rested a bit. Got a good 8 hours of sleep. Had a slow morning hanging with my sis, nephew and pops. I love playing with my 16 month old nephew. I don't care what any of you say, mine is the cutest!! After a slow morning I finally … [Read more...] about miles & miles in AMERICA…land of the brave & free
I am not in the mood to blog…
That is the case right now. I feel a little bloated from our killer Mexican meal that we just consumed a little bit ago. I feel like there is this massive stomach that comes into being when Mexican is on the table. But as I typed the title to this blog I discovered a lovely little sticker in my sock. We finished the photo shoot about 3 hours ago and this little sticker must have been hiding in my sock for all that time.... Yet here I am. My goal was to write more on the midst of this … [Read more...] about I am not in the mood to blog…
